Leicester defender Ritchie De Laet has recovered from a groin problem, and Shinji Okazaki is fit despite hobbling off against Stoke on 23 January.
Recent signing Daniel Amartey is unlikely to be involved.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will revert to his strongest side after resting many players for the FA Cup draw at home to West Ham.
Captain Jordan Henderson will return after sitting out that game to rest a heel problem.
Editor’s Note: Leicester continue to defy the pundits this season and as we enter February they find themselves 3 points cleat at the top of the Premier League table. They now enter what could be a pivotal fortnight in their season one that at the end of it all will tell us once and for all if they are bonafide title challengers.
The next 12 days sees them take on Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal in succession and those 3 results are going to go a long way as to whether Leicester are challenging for the title or whether they will have to make do with a Champions League place tussle with Tottenham and Manchester United
They are 3 points clear due to they fact that they have capitlaised on Arsenal and Manchester City’s stuttering form as of late and last time out in the League, Claudio Ranieri’s men comfortably beat Stoke 3-0 at The King Power Stadium.
Also thankfully for Claudio Ranieri, Jamie Vardy is fit and back in the Goals after playing a pivotal role in the aforementioned win over Stoke. Another thing that Leicester may well have in their favour is the fact that they have no cup distractions and can have full focus on the League. That focus tonight shifts to Jurgen Klopps’s Liverpool
Liverpool managed to dish out one of Leicester only 2 League defeats so far this season with a Boxing Day win at Anfield and if they have any real hopes of getting a Top 4 finish come May will be looking to get a double over The Foxes.
It’s been an incredible rollercoaster of emotions for Liverpool over the last 10 days or so with them getting the better of a 9 Goal thriller at Carrow Road and then coming through the lottery of a Penalty Shoot Out against Stoke in the Capital One Cup this time last week.
Although Liverpool had the F.A. Cup to contend with on Saturday it was all but a reserve team in name so both teams will be ready and raring for this encounter Tonight. Whether we will see a repeat of the drama at Carrow Road I’m not too sure but if Roberto Firmino can continue his Goalscoring form as of late then don’t rule it out.
He has bagged braces against Arsenal and Norwich as of late and no doubt Manager and Fans alike will be hoping he can repeat that feat Tonight. I think this could be a real cracker of a game and there will certainly be Goals but I reckon Liverpool won’t manage to beat Leicester again this season but they won’t come away empty handed. A draw for me.
