Anderlecht were twice pegged back by last season’s Russian Premier League runners up FC Rostov last night as their Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round tie ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Belgians got off to a perfect start when Sofianne Hanni got them off the mark after just 3 minutes but Rostov had leveled up matters through Saeid Ezatolahi on the quarter hour.
After the break it was Anderlecht who again got their noses in front thanks to a Youri Tielemans strike but they would not manage to take a winning advantage back to Belgium for the 2nd leg as Dmitry Poloz scored from the spot on the hour
