I don’t know about you but I think it’s time to start documenting the progress of the “lesser spotted Real Football Man” Alan Curbishley. Therefore this morning I am launching #CurbsWatch

Spotting Number 1 – Saturday April 25th, The Football League Show (BBC)

I think this may have been some cash in hand work for Curbs. Look how he attentively stares at Manish ready to offer some hard hitting analysis on the race for Promotion out of League 1. Unfortunately for Curbs it seems it’s as if he’s like Alan Partridge in his quest for a 2nd series, always falling short in the bid for some full time employment.

I imagine the conversation went something like this:

BBC Agent:”Alan we can offer you a couple of shifts on the FLS before the end of the season if you like”

Curbs: “Yeah that’s great, have you got anything a bit more permanent?”

BBC Agent: “Unfortunately we’re losing the contract to Channel 5 next month, that’s all we have for now”

Curbs: “Ok fair enough, the Wife has been nagging me to get out of the house for a bit, so I’m sure it will do me good”

So the messiah which is Alan Curbishley has appeared on our screens well past Midnight to offer his Footballing insight to the late night drinkers, insomniacs and League 2 supporters across the country. I wonder where he will impart his wisdom next?

If you have seen Curbs on TV, please tweet me @dantracey1983 with the hashtag #CurbsWatch and I’ll add it to the collection.

The quest for Curbs continue…
