Well the Champions League has returned with a bang it’s fair to say and it now means it’s time to review my predictions over the course of the last two evenings
Tuesday
Benfica vs Borussia Dortmund – Draw NO
PSG vs Barcelona – Barcelona Win NO
Wednesday
Bayern Munich vs Arsenal – Bayern Munich Win YES
Real Madrid vs Napoli – Real Madrid Win YES
A perfect Wednesday but a disastrous Tuesday, somewhat surprisignly there were 4 home wins across the two nights which looking at the fixtures is not what I would have expected especially at the Stade De France as tournament favourites Barcelona have all been dumped out after their 4-0 thrashing. Talking of thrashings it almost feels like Groundhog Day as Arsenal were again torn apart by the might of Bayern Munich.
In terms of an accumulator there was no success and you’re not going to get rich by picking Real and Bayern to win at home, therefore I’ll have another crack at it next week when the first legs are completed with other 4 ties still to play. Until next Tuesday then.
