With Chelsea beating West Brom last night it means that Week 27 of the Premier League season has come to an end, and with that in mind it is time to review my predictions as we see how I fared over the past few days. Let’s not wait any more as the results are below.
Tottenham vs Arsenal – Tottenham Win YES
West Ham vs Watford – Draw NO
Stoke vs Brighton – Stoke Win NO
Swansea vs Burnley – Draw NO
Everton vs Crystal Palace – Everton Win YES
Manchester City vs Leicester – Manchester City Win YES
Huddersfield vs Bournemouth – Bournemouth Win NO
Newcastle vs Manchester United – Manchester United Win NO
Southampton vs Liverpool – Liverpool Win YES
Chelsea vs West Brom – Chelsea Win YES
Once again another bang average five out of ten, the target this week was seven but unfortunately I have fallen short. It is fair to say that there was definitely one coupon buster last weekend, that of course being Manchester United’s defeat to Newcastle at St James’ Park.
However you could also point to the fact that Bournemouth did me no favours at all after their thrashing away at Huddersfield. Had I managed a Sunday clean sweep then I would have got the seven that I required. Why seven and not ten I hear you ask.
Well seven would have got me to an exact hit rate of 50% for the season so far, that would mean that I have got 135 out of 270 predictions correct. As things stand I have 133, for all you maths fans this a strike rate of 49.2%, therefore no change for the past two weeks.
There is no league action this weekend so the predictions take a weeks hiatus, therefore there will be nothing this Thursday but I am off to do some research for that elusive seven out of ten in Week 28. Until then!
