- Peterborough crashed out in the cruelest of ways last night as they lost in a Penalty Shoot Out to West Brom
- The Posh had the better of the first half but couldn’t quite turn that pressure into a Goal
- But they finally got what they deserved when Jon Taylor scored to put them the League One side in front
- He was a constant thorn in West Brom’s side throughout the two ties
- West Brom restored parity thanks to a well taken volley by Darren Fletcher, he was arguably West Brom’s best player of the night
- To be fair to Tony Pulis he treated the game with the utmost respect and named a near full strength line up but they were certainlyy made to work for their win
- Saido Berahino should have won the game with the last roll of the dice in Extra Time but somehow managed to head wide
- Then it came down to Penalties and it was heartbreak for Lee Angol who saw his spot kick saved by Ben Foster
- Peterborough came away with a credited performance but unfortunately that doesn’t mean a 5th Round tie for them
- Now West Brom have to put that one behind them and try to get back to winning ways in the League, next up it’s Everton on Saturday
