It’s been quite a busy day not just here at home but in Europe also as managers look to capture new signings before the season starts in the next couple of weeks.

But that’s not the only piece of business as Barcelona have captured another new signature with the arrival of Euro 2016 winner Andre Gomes from Valencia for an initial fee of £29m. Gomes is the club’s fourth summer signing, after French defenders Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne joined from Lyon and Paris St-Germain respectively, and Denis Suarez re-signed after a season at Villarreal.
The good news doesn’t stop there for Barcelona as Argentine defender/midfielder Javier Mascherano has put pen to paper and signed a new three year contract. The 32 year old had been linked with a move to Juventus this Summer but he will now be staying put at the Nou Camp for a while longer.
Staying in Spain and Europa League winners Sevilla have reinforced their striking ranks with the signature of Ciro Immobile from Borussia Dortmund. The 26 year old joins for a reported fee of £7m and that’s not the last of the Spanish transfer news as Villarreal have announced the signing of Pato from Corinthians.
The former A.C. Milan forward had a not too memorable spell on loan at Chelsea in the second half of last season scoring once in only two Premier League appearances. Unsurprisingly the Chelsea hierarchy decided not to make it a permanent deal.
Back home the Liverpool clear out continues as Bournemouth sign their second player from Anfield this Summer as Australian defender Brad Smith moves to The Vitality Stadium for a fee of £3m. The 22 year old will now link up with Jordon Ibe who made the move to the South Coast earlier in the month.
