Switzerland vs Portugal in less than 5 minutes

Portugal’s first game since being crowned as Champions of Europe produced a far from ideal result as they lost 2-0 to Switzerland last night.

Breel Embolo got the hosts off to a perfect start as his early strike put Switzerland ahead while Ahmed Mehmedi doubled their advantage. The night turned a bit sour for Switzerland late on as Granite Xhaka was sent off late on for a second bookable offence.

But that was not to dampen Switzerland’s night as they got their qualification for the World Cup off to a perfect start while Portugal looked a shadow of the side that won a first ever major tournament back in July.
