Sunderland’s Lee Cattermole (back) and Sebastian Larsson (knee) are still out.
Steven Fletcher faces a fitness test on a foot problem, but Jermain Defoe and Wes Brown have recovered from respective hamstring and knee injuries.
Watford are again set to be without midfielder Valon Behrami, who is nursing a calf problem.
Defender Sebastian Prodl has returned to training after a calf injury but Saturday’s game is likely to be too soon for him.
Editor’s Note: Sunderland are showings signs of revival under Sam Allardyce as they’ve won 2 out of their last 3 matches with the only slip up being an away defeat at Arsenal. Even their performance at The Emirates could have merited a point as they did have game level at 1-1 at one stage and did have chances to take the lead.
That would have been a bonus but I doubt Big Sam will dwell on that too much as the focus is more on the winnable games, games were the difference between relegation or promotion will be decided. Tomorrow they play host to a Watford side who are comfortably in mid table and in Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney they have one of the most feared striking partnerships in the league
The Hornets have won their last two matches and with another team in the lower reaches of the league as their opposition tomorrow they will certainly fancy their chances of picking up another win on the road
That said Sunderland certainly look like they have a bit more desire in the way they play now and you can see the Big Sam influences start to come through as they look a stronger unit each week. I have a feeling that Tomorrow’s clash will end up a draw
