Stoke’s Xherdan Shaqiri faces a late fitness test as he continues to struggle with a hamstring injury.
Phil Bardsley and Stephen Ireland are both doubts, while Geoff Cameron, Marc Muniesa, Shay Given, Peter Odemwingie and Peter Crouch are all still out.
Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak could again be absent because of an ankle injury, although Joe Ledley is now fully fit.
Bakary Sako and Dwight Gayle remain sidelined with hamstring injuries.
Editor’s Note: Last time out Stoke played out a stalemate at Upton Park in a game which had last on Match Of The Day stamped all over it, this was the follow up to their impressive win over Manchester City at home and Mark Hughes’ men have only lost 1 out of their last 5 matches.
After a slowish start to the season it seems as if Hughes is now making his team difficult to beat both at home and on the road and there will have to be more of the same today as they play host to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles are flying high at the moment with them sitting in 6th place and now joint on points with London rivals Tottenham. They are now unbeaten in 3 and last time out they bested Southampton thanks to a Yohan Cabaye winner.
Palace seem to be doing better on their travels then they are at home and I think they will cause Stoke some problems today. So much so I think Alan Pardew can engineer a smash and grab at The Britannia. An away win for me
