These two former Eastern European powerhouses played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League 3rd Round Qualifying tie last night.
Josef Sural opened the scoring for Czech side Sparta Prague but they were pegged back 15 minutes from time when Nicursor Stanciu’s fantastic free kick effort found the net.
That gives the Romanian side an all important away goal and now arguably the favourites to advance as the two sides go into the 2nd leg.
