Firstly for anyone asking ‘Where is the Gameweek 17 round up?’ – The honest answer is I totally forgot there was a lot of drinking in that game week and you know when you think to yourself ‘I knew there was something that I had to’
well that was it.
Anyway I hope you all had a good Christmas, if you don’t celebrate Christmas then hello. But now the apologies and niceties are out of the way let’s now take a look at what happened during Gameweek 18.
Well it’s been a very good week for my good friend Andy Miller as he stays top of the table and has a healthy 30 point lead over Ray McDermott who currently sits in second place. Ray moves up to 2nd at the expense of Andrew Sinclair who now lies in third but just 5 points behind Ray.
The final Champions League place is taken by Ologo Popo who is three points clear of last season’s winner David McDonagh in 5th. M Fariz Nirwansyah also had a good week as he moves up to 6th but early pace setter Kwame Twumasi now finds himself in 7th.
The rest of the top 10 is made up of Malaysio Junior, Josh Abayateye and Dennis Kioko with Dennis having a week to forget with just 34 points to his name. Harrison Narh meanwhile had an unforgettable week after earning the high score of 90.
I’m once again slipping down the table with me currently just in the top half in 17th. If I could sack myself I honestly would. It could be worse I could be @THEWWFPL who is 22nd or Daniel Platt who get the lowest score of the week with just 28 points.
But more importantly it’s all about the race to avoid mid season relegation and my word is it tight with just one week to go. Simon Vingil is still bottom but there are just 6 (SIX) points between Lasse Ehrer and himself but that’s not to say Matt Dickinson or Stuart Robertson are safe from the dreaded drop. Who will be the one that is relegated.
