Real Football Data – Spain vs Italy Analysis

I’ve already carried out some analysis on the first Semi Final between England and Germany and you can also read that on my sister website Real Football Data and in the link below I have done exactly the same on the data collated before the start of the Spain vs Italy game.

The two European Under 21 Championships Semi Final’s are now in the history books and we eagerly await the final tomorrow between Spain and Germany. Spain booked their place with a 3-1 win over Italy on Tuesday night but the question is whether or not twitter made a correct prediction in regards to the fate of Albert Celades’ young side.

Does favourite bias come into play once again when choosing a winner or do people pick solely on the fact that Spain are tournaments favourites and that is perceived as the smart choice. I’ll try to make sense of that in the full analysis article below
