Real Football Data – Confederations Cup Goals

Time for another piece of analysis over at my sister website Real Football Data, previously I’ve been working on football prediction polls but now it is time for something a little different.

This particular piece shows you where all the goals were scored in regards to 15 minutes segments, from the data available (that of course being the 43 goals themselves) I’ve been able to build a model which then splits out the goals into each of the ten categories (including extra time goals also)

The final result shows an interesting story and one that takes on extra credence when you compare it to my piece on the Chinese Super League

So please feel free to take a look at the work below and also keep an eye out for when the CONCACAF Gold Cup comes to and end as I will be able to analyse that also to give us a compare and contrast

Once the domestic seasons start this will also be something that is able to be tracked on a week to week basis and then we can start to observe any patterns and trends that will form across the course of the season, that said this tournament in isolation still paints a very interesting picture. One that I recommend you taking a look at

I hoped you enjoyed reading this and if you have any football data work available then please contact me at realfootballmanwordpress@gmail.com
