We’ve made it, we’ve finally reached the end of the Premier League season and that also means that 9 months worth of predictions have finally come to a close. The target going into this final day was that I needed 8 predictions correct to get exactly 55% for the season. I guess it is time to see how I fared
Sunday
Arsenal vs Everton – Arsenal Win YES
Burnley vs West Ham – Burnley Win NO
Chelsea vs Sunderland – Chelsea Win YES
Hull vs Tottenham – Tottenham Win YES
Leicester vs Bournemouth – Draw YES
Liverpool vs Middlesbrough – Liverpool Win YES
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace – Manchester United Win YES
Southampton vs Stoke – Draw NO
Swansea vs West Brom – Swansea Win YES
Watford vs Manchester City – Manchester City Win YES
I needed 8 out of 10 and would you believe it, I’ve only gone and done it. Dramatic last day scenes here at Real Football Man HQ and that means I’ve hit the 55% target bang on the nose. It means I’ve been awarded a contract for next season and we will do it all over again come August. Only the Burnley and Southampton games stopped me from getting a final day clean sweep
A late surge in predictions has got me over the line, with 20 out of the past 25 being correct. In total it means I have got 209 out of 380 correct over the course of the season, it is not quite as easy as it looks but it must be said that the past few weeks have gone to form with so many teams all but being on the beach.
So 55% correct gives us a decent benchmark for next season as that will be the comparison that we will work with going into the 2017/18 season. Big thanks to anyone who has read any of the predictions articles over the past season and I hope you do so next time around. I will also have another new project in mind for the next season but I will reveal that nearer the time, until then.
