Well what a couple of nights worth of action that was. The race for the title did not really change complexion but Tottenham certainly let Chelsea know that they are prepared to push them all the way after an incredible comeback win away at Swansea. Not only that but they have solidified second place after both Liverpool and Manchester City dropped points. The latter failed to get anything from their trip to league leaders Chelsea and with that any faint hopes that they may have had of winning this season’s Premier League title have now evaporated. They were the main talking points but let’s now have a look at my predictions
Tuesday
Burnley vs Stoke – Burnley Win YES
Leicester vs Sunderland – Leicester Win YES
Watford vs West Brom – Draw NO
Manchester United vs Everton – Manchester United Win NO
Wednesday
Arsenal vs West Ham – Arsenal Win YES
Hull vs Middlesbrough – Hull Win YES
Southampton vs Crystal Palace – Draw NO
Swansea vs Tottenham – Tottenham Win YES
Chelsea vs Manchester City – Chelsea Win YES
Liverpool vs Bournemouth – Liverpool Win NO
A midtable 6 out of 10 once again but the story could have been a lot different had it not been for late goals involving South Coast clubs. Southampton nabbed a late winner through Maya Yoshida while Bournemouth came away with a hard earned draw at Anfield after Josh King’s last gasp equaliser foiled Liverpool. In terms of my strike rate that means I am now at 161 out of 299 which takes me to 53.8%, an increase of 0.2% from the last gameweek. More importantly moving any nearer to the revised target of a 55% success rate. The Premier League action comes thick and fast with another full game week around the corner, therefore the next set of predictions will follow immadiately so keep an eye out for those.
