Ourmarvellous For Hull As Niasse Red Card Rescinded

Hull fans can breathe a sigh relief as their star stiker Oumar Niasse has had his red card rescinded after being sent off against Watford on Saturday. The former Everton forward was set to miss three crucial matches as Hull bid to beat the drop.

But thankfully for Marco Silva the Senegalese international will now be available after the Football Association ruled that the red card was incorrectly awarded. It was a very innocuous challenge by Niasse on Watford’s M’Baye Niang and arguably warranted a yellow card at best.

That is exactly what Niasse expected to be awarded by referee Bobby Madley and it came with some incredulous that he was subsequently shown the red card. Niasse’s face said it all really as his eyes nearly bulged out of his head once he was shown the bad news.

It was a decision that Marco Silva did not take too kindly too either as he showed his frustrations on the touchline. The Portuguese man of Hull did comment that the club planned to appeal the decision and today they did exactly that with a positive result to show for it.

And it’s positive results that Hull need between now and the end of the season and they will be boosted massively by the availability of the man they signed from Everton in the January transfer window. Niasse has been the forgotten man on Merseyside as Ronald Koeman did not warm to him but the same cannot be said at The KCom Stadium.

Niasse has scored five times since joining Hull and his goals have played a large part in reigniting the Tigers season. His inclusion for the trip to Southampton will be a massive boost and Marco Silva’s will be pinpointing the trip to St Mary’s as one that they can win.

That’s because with Southampton safe and with nothing to play for you do have to wonder if Hull can take full advantage of a team that is pretty much on the beach, both figuratively and literally. It’s a must win game and their chances have just increased with the fact that they have #Niasse back available for selection.
