Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund in less than 5 minutes

Manchester City bagged their first win of the International Champions Cup after beating Borussia Dortmund earlier Today. Dortmund had already beaten Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United last week but they failed to make it a mancunian double after Pep Guardiola’s side ran out winners.

Sergio Aguero put City in front and that was almost enough to see them win the game but a late equaliser from teenager Christian Pulisic meant that the game would go to spot kicks.

City goalkeeper Angus Gunn, 20 was the hero as he saved from Mikel Morino to ensure a 6-5 victory on spot-kicks in the Shenzhen’s Longgang Stadium. That save from Gunn meant that Pep Guardiola has now recorded his first win as Manchester City boss.

Previous to the game Pep Guardiola had dropped Samir Nasri from training with the squad due to him coming back overweight after his off season break. Could that be the first sign of a potential exit this Summer for the former Arsenal man.

In what was an injury struck season last time around, Nasri only managed a total of 7 league appearances after picking up two league winners medals you do have to wonder if Nasri will be sticking around to try and win a third

Is he the kind of player that Pep Guardiola will want his squad let alone his starting eleven. With those injuries that he picked up in the previous campaign will Nasri ever get back to what he considered his best form

It’s hard to remember the last term Nasri had a memorable performance and at 29 years old will there be many more left for him to produce. A sky high wage would possibly put off potential suitors so perhaps a loan move could see the former French international get game time elsewhere.

Here is all you need to know from early on today
