Jurgen Klopp will be the toast of Merseyside this Morning as he led his Liverpool side to a sensational 4-0 win over Barcelona at Wembley in the International Champions Cup.
Played in front of a sell out crowd and in the late Summer sun, Liverpool were impressive throughout and took an early lead through new signing Sadio Mane. The Senegalese forward gave the Reds the lead after just quarter of an hour and from there they never looked back.
Ex Liverpool old boy Javier Mascherano then was unfortunate enough to put threw his own net to double Liverpool’s advantage just after the break and moments Divock Origi then made it 3-0.
The scoring wouldn’t stop there though as in injury time Marko Grujic made it four and topped off an incredible evening. Obviously you can’t read too much into pre-season friendlies but this result will certainly give Liverpool a massive boost of confidence before the start of the Premier League next season.
