Real Madrid have seen their lead at the top of La Liga cut to just one point after slipping up away to Las Palmas on Saturday night. Zinedine Zidane’s side have now drawn a second straight game and lead Barcelona by just a solitary point after Week 6 of the season.
It looked like another normal night for Los Blancos after Marco Asensio’s header gave them the lead just after the half hour but they were hauled back before the break thanks to Tana’s equaliser.
But Real would once again go ahead through Karim Benzema midway through the second half and you would have imagined them to hold out and win what with all the talent at their disposal but Las Palmas substitute Sergio Araujo had other ideas
A defensive mixup between Sergio Ramos and Kiko Casilla gave Araujo the perfect opportunity for Las Palmas to snatch a dramatic point and it was one that he wasn’t going to turn down. That tied the game at 2-2 and that is how it is ended.
The Las Palmas players celebrated as if they won the game at the final whistle while Real were left wondering how they didn’t win that game
