- 26 matches in the 3rd Round have already taken place so apologies if you’re side does not get a mention in this article
- After watching Match Of The Day yesterday it almost makes you yearn for the likes of Alan Shearer and Gary Neville
- But it was good to see Mr Charisma himself Manish Bhasin back on my screens
- It almost sets a mental note just to watch the goals from the 4th Round onwards
- Friday night saw Manchester City hit West Ham for 5 at The London Stadium
- An embarrasing defeat for Slaven Bilic’s side but although the manner of defeat was bad like so many teams in the bottom half you would have to imagine that the hindrance of cup in relation to Premier League survival will mean that this loss will be soon forgotten about
- Wayne Rooney finally got the goal that leveled Sir Bobby Charlton’s scoring record at Manchester United
- Now it’s just a case of when Rooney finally gets goal 250
- The game against Reading was sealed up within the first 15 minutes but the most memorable moment would have been Ali Al-Habsi howler that allowed Marcus Rashford to get his second of the game and make the scoreline 4-0
- A day to forget for Al-Habsi and Jaap Stam on his return to Old Trafford
- Arsenal once again have Oliver Giroud to thank for a late goal
- Tuesday it was a goal that rescued a point away at Bournemouth
- Yesterday Evening it was a last minute winner to see The Gunners edge past Preston after going behind
- Preston will no doubt be kicking themselves for not taking the opportunity to go 2-0 up and cause real trouble for Arsene Wenger’s side
- But as what seems to be the case more often than not if you don’t kill a side off they will come back and punish you
- Eddie Howe was punished for making wholesale changes to his Bournemouth side
- A whole different team from the one that threw away a 3 goal lead to Arsenal on Tuesday
- And this time they gave Millwall a 3 goal lead that they never recovered from
- The Cherries dumped out of the cup by League One opposition
- With Bournemouth as high as 9th did they really need to make all those changes
- Wolves made changes of their own and were still too good for a full strength Stoke side
- Mark Hughes is once again feeling the pressure at the Bet365 Stadium after that defeat. Should his side lose away at Sunderland then questions may have to be asked as to how long the Welshman will be staying at Stoke
- West Brom all suffered cup misery yesterday at the hands of Derby County
- The Baggies were on top for the first half but two quickfire goals from Darren Bent and Tom Ince turned the tie on it’s head and saw Steve McClaren’s side progress to the 4th Round
- You do have to wonder how much Tony Pulis will really care though as he looks to continue his side’s impressive league form this season
- Lincoln nearly wrote the biggest headline as they were minutes away from beating Ipswich at Portman Road that one will now go to a replay
- While Stourbridge were just minutes away from a replay of their own as they succumbed to Wycombe thanks to a header from Adebayo Akinfenwa
- Southampton will have to go back to St Mary’s in a bid to get past Norwich after conceding an injury time equaliser
- Although on Match Of The Day you would not have noticed as it looked like the game was filmed from the moon
- Everton’s chances of silverware are finished as champions Leicester came from behind to win 2-1 at Goodison Park
- That Everton side needs freshening up and Ronald Koeman needs to start spending the money he has been promised
- Sam Allardyce is still looking for his first win as Crystal Palace. A return to Bolton was not a particularly happy one as the two sides played out a dour 0-0 draw
