Everton vs Sunderland – Match Preview

Everton defender Seamus Coleman is a major doubt with the stomach bug which ruled him out in midweek.

Phil Jagielka is out for up to two months with a knee injury, but Leighton Baines and Muhamed Besic have returned to training after lengthy absences.

Sunderland will make late decisions on John O’Shea, Younes Kaboul and Ola Toivonen, who all suffered injuries in the win over Newcastle last weekend.

Fabio Borini missed that game and is doubtful again with an ankle problem.

Editor’s Note: Everton will have major defensive worries today for the game against Sunderland but should have enough going forward to better The Black Cats today.

Sam Allardyce will be looking to use the Tyne-Wear Derby victory last week as a platform to build on and with Everton being taken to Extra Time and Penalties in the week they could be a bit leggy in their preparations, that said I think The Toffees will be the better side today and get all 3 points at home.
