Colin Wanker named new Rotherham Manager

If you’re a fan of anagram’s you’ll love this one as Neil Warnock has been appointed as the new Rotherham Manager until the end of the season. The 67 year old was last in charge of Queens Park Rangers on a temporary basis in December before the appointment of current boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Warnock who was a player at Rotherham will be charged with keeping the side in The Championship. The Millers’ current position is slightly precarious with them being 22nd in the table and a run of form which has seen them lose 8 out of their last 12.

It was defeat to fellow struggles Bolton which was the undoing for previous Manager Neil Redfearn. His spell at the helm of the club was the shortest in club history, with Redfearn lasting only 4 months in charge.

Neil Warnock’s first game in charge will be a home tie against Play-Off chasing Birmingham City, it won’t be an easy start but with his experience you wouldn’t bet against Rotherham getting off to a winning start in this new regime. The touchlines will certainly be a bit nosier in The Championship between now and the end of the season.
