Can Emre Complete Juventus Move?

Liverpool may well have recently completed the signing of Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk from Southampton for an eye watering £75m, but they could be set to have one of their players exit Anfield and it is not the one that you may be thinking of.

Barcelona are still in pursuit of Philippe Coutinho and you get the feeling that they will not stop until they get their man but it is another midfielder who is making the headlines today with the news that Emre Can has reportedly agreed a move to Juventus.

It is believed that player and club have come to an agreement that he will make the move to the Juventus Stadium in the Summer after his refusal to sign a new deal at Anfield.

I must stress this is not confirmed as of yet with the only source being that of Sky Sports Italy so you may have to take this with a pinch of salt but at the same time this does add fuel to the fire to the rumours in today’s back pages that the German international could be off to Turin.

It is believed that Can has been offered a contract paying £85,000 a week if he was to swap Merseyside for Turin. The 23 year old’s contract expires at the end of this season and now that we have reached January 1st he is free to talk to all foreign clubs with a view to a move at the end of the season.

Should this deal come to fruition then the versatile player will end his stint as a Liverpool player, one that started back in June 2014 when he was signed by the Reds’ previous manager Brendan Rodgers for a fee of just under £10 million pounds. At the time of writing Can has made 100 Premier League appearances while scoring eight goals.
