Bournemouth vs Norwich – Match Preview

Bournemouth’s Matt Ritchie is rated as 50/50 because of a dead leg and could be replaced by on-loan Roma winger Juan Iturbe, who awaits his first start.

Lewis Grabban could play against his former club after rejoining the Cherries from Norwich this week.

Norwich have no new injury problems, but midfielder Gary O’Neil begins a three-game ban.

Full-back Ivo Pinto will not be involved as he continues to settle following a move from Dinamo Zagreb.

Editor’s Note: After the heady heights of beating Manchester United and Chelsea back to back Bournemouth have been bought back down to earth with a run of 4 League games without a win, they will look to put an end to the run with victory over fellow promoted side Norwich.

The Cherries lost to West Ham on Wednesday after going in front but unfortunately for them Dimitri Payet announced his comeback from injury with a stunning performance scoring one and making another in a 3-1 victory for East London side.

Artur Boruc could probably come in for some criticism for the two free kicks that West Ham scored with The Goalkeeper position being a bit of a problem area for Bournemouth this season but he looks set to continue between the sticks Today for the visit of Norwich.

One area where Bournemouth have reinforced themselves is in attack with the permanent of signings of Benik Afobe and ex Norwich Striker Lewis Grabban plus the loan signing of Juan Irtube. All 3 could feature in this Afternoon’s encounter

Norwich had their run of 2 wins in a row ended on Wednesday with an away defeat at Stoke. Alex Neil rested players in the Cup last Weekend with the league campaign the main priority this season but that plan didn’t work as they were comfortably beaten at The Britannia. Going down to 10 men certainly wouldn’t have helped their cause.

It’s 16th play 15th Today, not quite a 6 pointer but a win for either side will give them a bit of breathing space between themselves and the drop zone whereas the other side will be nervously looking over their shoulder. With Bournemouth’s new attacking trio I would make them the slight favourites with a Home win being the likely result for me.
