2017/18 Premier League Predictions – Week 21 (Review)

This is the first article of 2018, so Happy New Year to all my readers, I hope the arrival of a new calendar brings you lot of success. Talking of success I wonder how I fared in terms of the final raft of Premier League Predictions for 2017.

Nine games were played across last weekend with Tottenham vs West Ham being held over until this up coming gameweek, so with that in mind let’s see how I fared when the previous year has closed out.

Saturday

Bournemouth vs Everton – Everton Win NO

Chelsea vs Stoke – Chelsea Win YES

Huddersfield vs Burnley – Draw YES

Liverpool vs Leicester – Liverpool Win YES

Newcastle vs Brighton – Draw YES

Watford vs Swansea – Watford Win NO

Manchester United vs Southampton – Manchester United Win NO

Sunday

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City – Manchester City Win NO

West Brom vs Arsenal – Arsenal Win NO

It is fair to say it was a weekend of coupon busters, especially yesterday with both Manchester City and Arsenal being held to draws away from home while I was minutes away from Watford securing a home win against Swansea, as we know they lost late on and that also cost me very dearly in terms of the Sky Bet SuperBoost (more on that in a seperate article)

Also the fact that Manchester United once again draw, that now being the third draw in a row did me very little favours either. Draws were the killer as I only earned a below average four out of nine last week. What does that do for the maths.

Well with 2017 coming to a close there have been 209 Premier League matches that have taken place and I have correctly predicted the outcome of 102 of them. Meaning that this a strike rate of 48.8%, down 0.2% from last week. Not the best way to end the year it must said.

Never mind though as we get the perfect opportunity in which to turn it around as later today the final week of this very busy festive period comes to a close, so keep an eye for the article for Week 22 in a few hours time, until then!
