Another busy weekend of Premier League action has come to a conclusion and it is time to review how I fared in terms of predictions, hopefully it is better than that of Tottenham’s performance at the Etihad on Saturday. Anyway without further ado let’s take a look at the scores.
Leicester vs Crystal Palace – Leicester Win NO
Arsenal vs Newcastle – Arsenal Win YES
Brighton vs Burnley – Draw YES
Chelsea vs Southampton – Chelsea Win YES
Stoke vs West Ham – Draw NO
Watford vs Huddersfield – Watford Win NO
Manchester City vs Tottenham – Manchester City Win YES
West Brom vs Manchester United – Manchester United Win YES
Bournemouth vs Liverpool – Liverpool Win YES
Everton vs Swansea – Everton Win YES
It seems as if my predictions skills are going through their very own Sam Allardyce style resurgence as that is another very solid week at the office. I managed to get seven predictions correct out of ten and that is a small improvement on the gameweek before where I managed six.
What does that do from a maths point of view? It means I have now made 87 out of 180 predictions correctly, leaving me very shy of 50% and something leaning towards respectability. To be precise I am at 48.3% correct for the season so far.
Without getting ahead of myself and this could be quite a big ask at the end of the day, if I was to get eight predictions correct out of ten in this upcoming game week then that would leave them on 95 out of 190 and bang on the halfway mark.
There is still room for improvement but as I said last week it seems as if the table is calming down and in theory that should make the guesses slightly easier….in theory. Another raft of Premier League guesswork will be with you on Thursday, until then.
