Woeful Wednesday (Tips)

So let’s review last night’s tips. The original post can be found here

Wednesday Winners (Tips)

But to recap the tips were a Real Madrid and Juventus to win Double.

Real Madrid left it very late with a 88th minute goal from Javier Hernandez in a game that was turned on it’s head by the 75th minute sending off of Atletico’s Arda Turan. The extra man advantage proved to be the difference as Real Madrid moved onto the semi finals. So that one was a YES

Unfortunately the first blank of the tips came up last night as Juventus and Monaco played out a bore draw in Monte Carlo.  The main chance to win it for Juventus came from the evergreen Andrea Pirlo whose free kick scraped the bar in the 2nd half, apart from that and a couple of Monaco half chances there was little else to right home about. So that was a NO

Therefore the double didn’t come to fruition last night and the bet wouldn’t have been won. The side bet suggestion of laying off Monaco not to qualify at 1/6 would have been a success had that advice been taken. So there is some comfort there at least.

Tracking my tips record it is now 5 out of 6 matches which is 83% correct and 1 out of 2 bets successful which is a 50% hit rate. Not to be deterred I will try and get some Europa League tips up later today if I have time to see if we can get back on the winning horse (team)

So ultimately we were let down by a dour Juventus last night otherwise we would have been sitting pretty again today, oh well there’s always another fixture around the corner. Happy tipping!
