Real Football Man All of the Football, All of the time
For many it’s the last day of the Easter Break and although that may be a slightly depressing thought there should be just enough Football to get you through the day.
In England there are sizeable League 1 and League 2 campaigns taking place with the race for Promotion, Play Offs and Relegation still far from being decided. AFC Wimbledon vs Portsmouth has been picked by SKY Sports for TV Coverage but maybe check if it has survived the absolute deluge of rain and wind that hammered London and the South last night. EDIT: This one has fallen foul to the weather. At time of writing not sure if SKY have an alternative game scheduled
Staying in London and of special interest to West Ham fans is the Mark Noble Testimonial at Upton Park. The game is a sell out but if there any Hammers fan who couldn’t get a ticket or you don’t want to watch The Great Escape for the 12th time then the game is being shown on BT Sport
There are also a handful of International Friendlies across the day. 2 in your right mind that you probably wouldn’t watch but 2 with home nation interest. I can’t see Andorra vs Moldova and Liechtenstein vs Faroe Islands getting many column inches here but if I can find the goals I will bring them to you tomorrow
But Ukraine vs Wales and Northern Ireland vs Slovenia will certainly be of more interest. The two home nations played each on Thursday and shared a 1-1 draw with Wales getting a late equaliser in front of their home fans to share the honours.
Again there’s no Gareth Bale for Wales and this trip to Ukraine will be an interesting test for Chris Coleman’s side while Michael O’Neill will be looking to continue this wave of momentum with a win over Slovenia.
