MK Dons vs Chelsea a few quick thoughts

  • That was a rout by Chelsea
  • Such a bizarre first half with Chelsea being ruthless and wasteful in equal measures
  • But MK Dons defending was nothing short of atrocious, I can appreciate having a philosophy and sticking to those principles but they left themselves wide open on so many occasions it could have realistically been 5-1 at half time alone
  • Kyle McFadzean’s inward pass to set up Chelsea’ and Oscar’s first of the Afternoon pretty much summed it up
  • But they managed to get themselves back in the game just 5 minutes later, with Cesc Fabregas being the main culprit in the build up to the Dons equaliser as he wimped out of a 50/50 tackle. Poor form by Fabregas
  • Oscar scored a good second and was then given the freedom of Milton Keynes for the third as his hat trick all but wrapped up the game before half time
  • I would have said Eden Hazard is looking like a busted flush, although he may have got his first goal in 30 attempts this season he still looks nothing near the award winning player of last season
  • Bertand Traore was in the headlines in the week due to potential transfer irregularities but today he made the headlines for the right reasons as he scored shortly after coming on for Diego Costa to make it 5-1
  • Even after the 5th it was almost like something from the Harlem Globetrotters, just end to end action with most of it at the MK Dons Goal, credit to their keeper as he kept the score almost respectable but his back four did him no favours
  • Karl Robinson got his setup totally wrong today it was Men vs Boys out there at Stadium MK
  • “Clem” is a absolute cock. Who cares if MK Dons got a full house, it’s as if they were overcome by the occasion and just forgot to worry about the Football
  • As for Chelsea, the Guus Hiddink 2nd Reign is still an unbeaten one and now change their focus to the trip to Watford on Wednesday
  • So The Blues comfortably in the 5th Round in probably the most bizarre game of the F.A. Cup weekend
