Here Comes The Son doo doo doo doo

Tottenham have signed South Korean forward Son Heung-min from German club Bayer Leverkusen.

The 23-year-old scored 29 goals in 87 appearances for Leverkusen having joined them from Hamburg in 2013.

The deal, subject to work permit and international clearance, is reportedly worth £22m,  and he will wear the number seven shirt for Spurs.

Editor’s Note: Well thank fuck for that (excuse my bad language) We have another attacking player in at the club. To be perfectly honest this one has pretty much slipped under the radar as we hadn’t been linked with him before the news of the medical broke in the week. I still reckon we need one more striker as our options are still a bit light up top but it’s certainly some progress.

The Saido Berahino saga has got to the point where neither Daniel Levy or Jeremy Peace will blink first, with Heung-min being able to play anyway across the forward line then they need for Berahino diminishes slightly, is this where we step up the chase for someone like Charlie Austin instead? – The big question here would be whether or not he would be willing to sit on the bench, or could it push Mauricio Pochettino into playing 4-4-2 instead?

With the signing of Heung-min this could also spell the end of Aaron Lennon’s spell at White Hart Lane, it’s a shame he didn’t get a testimonial from the club as he has been a great servant for the club, so although a move away might be slightly acrimonious it will probably be for the best. I’ve also heard that Emmanuel Adebayor could be off to West Ham United on loan today, I hope so….I really really hope so. Come On You Spurs
